The felt recoil with the XD-9 Service and the Glock 19 is probably about the same, which is NEXT TO NOTHING. The main differences between the two is the grip angle and the fact that the Glock 19 is a more concealable pistol due to it's slightly shorter grip. The XD-9 also has a slightly higher magazine capacity than the G19.Only downsides to the XD [was] the finish that wore off, no extended slide releases (which is only needed for us lefties), and the fact that the IDPA crew doesn't think it's a Service Pistol due to it's trigger internals. I shot the Glock .45, 9mm and 10mm and the .45 and 10 were a little large for my hands. I too am 6'1" with med to large hands I guess.
