Some times it will fire several shots OK but for the most part misfires are more often than not. Looking at the bases of the unfired rounds shows no sign of the firing pin striking.

As you can see the rebound hammer has more metal, so that it will hit the crossbolt safety. The strut is just held against the rear of the hammer, with spring tension. The pre Safety strut is held into the hammer with a pin. When you pull the trigger, the top finger of the strut is pushing on the hammer, and makes it hit the firing pin.The 39 firing pin has a forward stop leg that limits the amount of firing pin protrusion. New FP's normaly need the face of this "leg" to be faced off for a proper fit. A perfectly fit FP will be as such.
