Aug 21, 2022 · This is on a CLEAR road & free of debris. Last week a message popped up on the screen “BCI Malfunction” along with the light on the dash of the car w/ wavy tire marks. My wife sent me this pic when it occurred. When I got home, I started the car & the lights went away but I’ve noticed that my sonar isn’t working properly. Today I noticed twice that my car, when started, turns off the BCI and FCW. I have to stop it, turn off the AC and restart the car. Not sure what's happening. Also noticed that I cannot open the lift gate by the knob anymore, when the car is not turned on. My car has 80000 miles. My car has an automatic transmission.That’s the old number. Hello I had a great day, the BCI Malfunction has been fixed. Three things; replace BOTH switches on the break pedal, break switch and cruise switch. Also go to the two sonar boxes in the rear of the vehicle, they are off set in the rear end.
